Volunteers needed for the Operation Backpack Program supported by the 123rd Precinct Community Council in Tottenville.

Friday, Aug 18th at 6:00 PM they will be sorting and filling the backpacks at Messiah Lutheran Church, 205 Jefferson Boulevard Dr – 10312.
Saturday, Aug 19th, 11:00 – 4:00 they will be distributing the backpacks from Messiah Lutheran Church.

They are also looking for the following donations: Unopened backpacks, #2 Pencils, colored pencils, pencil boxes, erasers, highlighters looseleaf notebook paper, glue, pocket folders, composition books,24 count crayon boxes, spiral notebooks, 3-ring binders, rulers, protractors, child-safety scissors, 3 x 5 index cards, basic function calculators, and blue,black and red pens.

Volunteers are needed for both days.
