2017 marks the 100th anniversary of women’s suffrage in New York State, one of the first states in the country to pass legislation, giving women the right to vote, three years before the 19th amendment was passed.
The Staten Island Chapter of New York State Women invite you and members of your organization to unite with women from all corners of the borough as we join together to recognize the brave women in history at out Legacy Tea.

A Tea Launches a Revolution.

On July 9, 1848 five women friends came together for tea, marking the beginning of the Women’s Suffrage Movement
