President’s letter
Dear Members,
We hope you have had a wonderful holiday season! Now, it is January and that time
when many of us reassess our busy lives and think about what we want to accomplish or
do during the next year.
For many of us, life is whizzing by. The New Year offers a good time to work at slowing
down. This could involve eating slower, which means not in a car or train. It can also
mean using this as a sort of meditative time. It could involve single-tasking instead of
multitasking – thinking about what you’re doing more often, taking time to listen to
everything around you, or feel the breeze on your skin.
Creating New Year’s resolutions can help to develop a Life Plan for success. Here is
hoping that we will bring renewed energy to every aspect of our lives in 2018, to career, to
relationships, and to the Staten Island chapter.
I hope that the Staten Island Chapter will play a special part of your 2018. The work that
will be accomplished can greatly enrich you and our community.
I wish everyone a Healthy and Happy New Year!
Sincerely,
Christine Olivieri Donahue
President
